This process is very quick, simple and highly automated. You can also change artwork if you want to use something from the Album Art Exchange etc. The metadata is also attached from the split tracks process, which is all automated. Save Tracks - This is where you export the split tracks in basically any format you want. Burn CD's - I haven't used this yet but I assume this is where you burn Cd's.ĥ. You can also normalise the de-clicked file in this section.Ĥ. There are also rumble filters and other EQ facilities which I have not used. It has various sensitivities on the declicker and a percussion protection algorithm. I have used Click Repair and after limited experience with Vinyl Studio it sounds like the results are comparable. Cleanup Audio - In this section you have a de-clicker which sounds to me (after recording only a couple of albums) like it does a pretty good job. It always gets it pretty close but requires some minor adjustments to the splits to get the exact start of songs. The search returns the track times and you then automatically apply the splits to the recorded file. Split Tracks - Once the recording is there you look up the tracks through a search of discogs or amazon etc within the programme. It starts recording automatically when the needle drops and you can record both sides of an album into the same file.Ģ. All bit rates and frequency resolutions are supported. Record - After you have created the album details (which takes 20 seconds) you record the audio through your sound card. The programme is split into five sections, ordered logically in five tabs.ġ.

Vinyl Studio is purpose built for needledropping and is potentially all you need to go from the recording stage right through to the export of the digital files in the format of your choice with metadata attached.
VINYLSTUDIO LITE TROUBLESHOOT FULL
I must admit I haven't read the full needledrop workflow thread but there is no discussion about Vinyl Studio in the chunks I have read and a search turns up very little.

It seems that most people are using a combination of softwares to get a satisfactory result, but this all in one solution seems to be largely ignored. I have seen very long threads on here with respect to needledrop workflows but surprisingly I have seen very little about Vinyl Studio.
